Today’s article will be a brief one, but the topic tackles a common thing that I see players need to improve on, prioritizing the correct aura! This visualization will revolve around the ever so bright, prism aura. 

Imagine this is your current field all awakened: 

Imagine your chapter (hand) to consist of a cryptid nation, Quetzalcoatlus, and a dampen.

Before you make your move, take a moment to pause and look for the most optimal play. Do I fatigue all of my aura and artifacts for a quetz? Do I pay my 2 aura for a cryptid nation into a quetz or pay the 2 aura from my mermaid scales?

THIS IS SIMULATION TRAINING, YOUR GOAL IS TO GET QUETZ OUT ON THE FIELD AND LEAVE 2 AURA OUT FOR A DAMPEN, GO!

In this example, it should be pretty straight forward. Pay 2 using your mermaid scales and contract Cryptid Nation to then contract Quetzalcoatlus. Doing it this way lets you leave up the remaining aura for a potential game winning dampen next turn 🙂

-A common mistake I see often is a player in this scenario would fatigue the prism aura and the lightning aura to contract Cryptid nation to then bring out Quetzalcoatlus. Cool, you still have two water aura available from a mermaid scales for a potential dampen!!! NOPE. Your opponent just absorbed aura’d you… or even worse maybe they contracted phantom car and simply one shotted your artifact (30 damage + 20 aura advantage damage). Now you are left unprotected and unable to pay 2 aura to save you from a game winning spell!

Although it is a simple gameplay error, it could be extremely costly to the well being of your game state. So with that, lets aim to be cognizant of these minor prioritizations! It could make or break the terms of your match set! –Check out this visual explanation on youtube!
